What is hope? Is there hope in a small, Third-Dimensional sense and hope in a large, Fifth-Dimensional sense? Is it a state of inner yearning or a is it a state of inner seeing and knowing?
Wikipedia describes hope as a yearning rather than a knowing:
"Hope is the state which promotes the belief in an outcome related to events and circumstances in one's life.
“Hope is the 'feeling that what is wanted can be had or that events will turn out for the best' or the act of 'look[ing] forward to something with desire and reasonable confidence or 'feel[ing] that something desired may happen'.
“Other definitions are 'to cherish a desire with anticipation'; 'to desire with expectation of obtainment'; or 'to expect with confidence'." (1)
The principal guide of a friend of mine had this to say as to how we often view hope from our yearning, from a small perspective:
“Hope, you do not have life without hope but we do not mean it in that small sense.
“The ideation, the ideas, the belief, the subtle beliefs, ‘Well, I hope it doesn’t rain, I hope it doesn’t snow, oh, I hope I get through security, I hope I have a good seat on the plane, I hope it’s a smooth ride in every sense of the word.’”
His guide went on to say we have need to be clear in declaring and clearing out, not only our conscious but our unconscious and subconscious by saying there are no more obstacles to push through, ‘It is simply flow,’ the flow of hope in a large, expansive sense.
On An Hour With An Angel, October 11, 2012, Linda Dillon, channel for the Council of Love, gave us the new definition of Hope:
“What Archangel Michael had asked me to do was to read for you the definition, the channeled definition of the quality of hope is. And it’s different than what we have perceived or thought of as hope in the current realm, if I can put it that way.
“Hope: It’s the gift of heart-knowing of the presence of God; the ability to understand that very often things on Earth are not as they appear; an ability to pierce the illusion of the veil; the only reason for change.
“Hope encompasses serenity, total and perfect calm; to be in the world but not of it; to be able to remain centered and still, one with who you are, regardless of the externals.
“Hope is the color of deep twilight blue, almost navy. It’s the color of our beloved Divine Mother.” (3)
On the same show Archangel Michael said,
"There is no Ascension without dreaming, without hope, without trust, without joy, without love. Without hope how do you spend your days? How do you look forward? And how do you even look back? How do you stay in the place of now?
"When the Mother has asked me, and she has asked me different times, several times, many times, to go to the heart of darkness, to restore light, not just to bring light, not just to eliminate darkness, not just to do reconnaissance, but to bring, restore, create. I did not stop and say to her How shall I do this? Because like you there is full knowing.
"If I am asked to do this, then I already know how and as long as I align with my core of truth, with my sword of peace, then I am in alignment with One and I am guided just as you are guided. Everything you need is within you and around you." (2)
Steve then asked for clarity about the word 'hope':
"There's a kind of an intellectual issue that comes up around words like hope and want, and the issue is that if we say We hope for this, the Law of Attraction will bring us hope; or We want this the Law of Attraction will bring us want. And that has kept some people from hoping or talking about hope. Can you help us find our way through that discussion, please? (2)
Archangel Michael replied,
"And that is why I had the channel read the new definition of hope. It is the inner knowing of the presence within you and around you of God, of the Divine, of the One. So it is not a state of yearning, it is a state of knowing." (5)
When Steve asked if there was a better word than hope, Archangel Michael said:
"We do not want to change all of your language. And what has happened is you have given and dissected words again, an intellectual exercise, rather than holding in your heart the knowing.
"So if you wish to replace hope with inner knowing of One, then do so." (6)
Napoleon once said, one can lead a nation only by helping it see a brighter outlook. A leader is a dealer in hope. (3) This is the third-dimensional view of hope. It makes it into the opiate of the masses. Hope lulls them to sleep and has them turn their direction over to their leaders. And, having turned that direction over to Napoleon, he took France to war and lost. This is the exploitation of people through the use of hope.
But Archangel Michael is describing hope as part of a fifth-dimensional process, an inner seeing and knowing. One can see how well this fits with, say, manifestation. First one sees or knows inwardly and clearly and then one realizes the outer manifestation.
Barack Obama, in 2004, delivered a speech called The Audacity of Hope that propelled him to national prominence and later, in 2006, he released a book by the same name that expanded on many of the same themes. His hope speaks of the dreams within, that inner knowing that comes from the heart, individually and/or collectively as a group.
In his speech to the Democratic National Convention in 2004, Obama showed his knowing of the inner, foundational hope when he said:
"In the end, that's what this election is about. Do we participate in a politics of cynicism or a politics of hope? I'm not talking about blind optimism [third-dimensional hope] here - the almost willful ignorance that thinks unemployment will go away if we just don't talk about it, or the health care crisis will solve itself if we just ignore it.
"No, I'm talking about something more substantial [fifth-dimensional hope]. It's the hope of slaves sitting around a fire singing freedom songs; the hope of immigrants setting out for distant shores; the hope of young naval lieutenant bravely patrolling the Mekong Delta; the hope of a young millworker's son who dares to defy the odds; the hope of a skinny kid with a funny name who believes that America has a place for him.
"Hope in the face of difficulty. Hope in the face of uncertainty. The audacity of hope!" (7) This hope is an unquenchable vision. First envisioning it, the slaves, immigrants and others then make it a reality.
On Heavenly Blessings, August 8, 2012, Archangel Michael, after he implored us to dream big with hope, reminded us not to ignore meditation, saying our meditations are paramount to discovering our inner knowing of the One:
"So do not ignore the meditation and, if you say to me, as many of you do, Michael, I have trouble with meditation, then come with me, drift on the infinite blue of the Mother, climb on my back, wrap yourself in my cloak and allow me to take you.
"Meditation is necessary, it is where you will feel the love and sharing the love is your mission and purpose, dear hearts." (4)
Meditation is also a way in which we envision, or know, or hope.
Things on Earth are not as they appear and hope is the only motivator of change so as we meditate, drifting on deep twilight blue, the deepest color of blue, the color of our beloved Divine Mother Mary, into serenity and perfect calm, into the gift of the heart-knowing presence of God's Love and Hope, may we discover our inner, eternal knowing of the Divine, the One.
